The casting of Grant Harper

I realize that Lloyd Bridges was the one that played Grant Harper on "Paper Dolls," but do you think that the production people/network should have gone with someone somewhat younger-- Jack Lord, say? I thought that he would have been a better fit, considering his acting style from "Hawaii Five-O." Maybe if Lord were there, the series might have lasted a bit longer.
