Night Court on Laff TV

I just began watching the Laff TV channel, and saw an episode of NC. But something didn't look right. Then it hit me, the show looked like it had been shot on film rather than videotape. I'm almost sure it was originally shot on VT. Can someone confirm that it was indeed shot on video? Could it be they transferred the original tape to film and that was the version I saw?...Very puzzling.

You might have been watching the later episodes at 11pm when, for a lack of a better analogy, (NBC?) tried to make the show look more like Seinfeld. In the early 90's through today, comedies started moving away from (the look of) video and returned to film.

Personally, NC looked better in the beginning, in bright and crisp filter-free videotape. The later episodes look as boring as the scripts after Weege left.

Who's Weege?

The 'technical specs' page on IMDB says it's on video, with no differentiation as to year or season. It's unlikely that film was ever used during the production of Night Court.
