My Muppet Valentine (aired on Halloween)

I always found it very odd that My Muppet Valentine originally aired on October 31st, 1987--Halloween. Was it held over from the 3rd season or something? I also noticed that the seasons usually ran from September to December (season 4 concluded in January) so I doubt that too. If anything, this should've been a TV special. Does anyone know the reason why CBS aired it on Halloween? lol

I don't know why but I find that funny because for many years I thought the cars Skeeter and Scooter were holding during Rowlf's song looked like Halloween cards, looked like ghosts or creepy faces on the red paper.
