Tim's Truman score is criminally underrated

It's a crime against humanity that season 5 soundtrack hasn't received an official release yet. Tim Truman did a phenomenal job by creating an atmospheric soundtrack filled with searing guitars and percussion, it perfectly fit the darker mood of the last season, like Jan Hammer's did the first 3 seasons. Tracks like "Borrasca" and "Stan" always sends shivers down my spine.

I read that he was all in for releasing his score, but Universal for some reason didn't include any of his cues on the Complete Collection soundtrack, which is total BS. I would gladly pay a small fortune for a complete score he composed for the show. Come on NBC Universal, there are a lot of Miami Vice fans that also appreciate Tim Truman's fantastic contribution.

I am only on Season one, and I am loving the soundtrack.

I've long wondered what it would be like to watch MIAMI VICE for the first time now, after decades of shows and movies ripping it off. It's just as great a show as ever but would it seem as fresh and innovative after a few decades of some of what it established has been done and done and done across media?

I am 37. So, the show started before my time, but ended when I was young.

I am enjoying it, nonetheless. Sure, it has a few cliche’s here and there, but the chemistry between the leads is great. There is good action and pacing, as well.

To me, it just feels fun. Too many shows these days are dark and depressing.

VICE is plenty dark and depressing--it's basically top-notch film noir done as a tv series--but it also has a healthy sense that these are vice-cops and a lot of the job is basically bullsh!t, so the show is often funny, even farcical.
