MST3K episodes finally coming to DVD!!!

Volume XX

http://www.mst3kinfo.com/?p=7886#comment-77920

And we are pleased to be able to reveal the episodes that will be included in Vol. XX from Shout Factory. No street date yet, but I assume it will be some time in the first quarter of 2011.

Departing from the “two Joel/two Mike” paradigm, it’s an all-Joel set with:

• 109- PROJECT MOONBASE (with shorts: Commando Cody, parts 7 & 8)
• 322- MASTER NINJA I
• 324- MASTER NINJA II
• 505- MAGIC VOYAGE OF SINBAD

(Let the choruses of “MASTER NINJA THEME SONG” commence.)

Two of my favorite Joel episodes. I hope they interview Timothy Van Patten.

The DVDs have a interview w/ "Master Ninja" guest star Bill McKinney if that suits u.

I just bought MST3K vol. XX & watched both videos of "Master Ninja." I didn't know that "Master Ninja II" was actually 2 back-to-back episodes. & I was right in guessing the senator's daughter was Jennifer Runyon, as confirmed from another thread. I remember Runyon from "Up the Creek," which I saw on THIS TV. Suffice 2 say, Joel, Crow, & Tom Servo made this short-lived TV show bearable. & I thought "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues" was a lackluster action drama till I discovered "Master Ninja" (or its more ambiguous title, "The Master.")

He's only a supporting villain in the first half of MASTER NINJA, but I guess it'll have to do.

And sadly Bill McKinney just passed away.

These MST3K episodes are a lot of fun... But not with Claude Akins in it .

Those are two great episodes!

Wow, two of my favorite episodes. Actually, I was watching the television tonight and all they had was a bunch of reality shows on the main networks. The Ninja doesn't look so bad after that.

I barely recollect the Moonbase episode because it was first season and I was barely aware of what the show was. I'm pretty sure the Sinbad episode was really good. It's been a while since I saw that one. All I remember is their jokes about how the guy really wasn't 'Sinbad' and mispronouncing his name. 'Skinbag!'

I watched the first Master Ninja on YouTube a few days ago and could not believe Demi Moore was in it! There have been famous people in other MST3K moves, but she's probably the biggest.

As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.

The original KTMA Season of MST3K featured films with some popular actors. CITY ON FIRE (1979) stars Leslie Nielsen, Henry Fond, Shelley Winters, Ava Gardner, and James Franciscus. SST DEATH FLIGHT (1977) stars Peter Graves, Robert Reed, Burgess Meredith, and a young Billy Crystal.

The KTMA Season was before they scripted their riffs. They literally just ad-libbed. I actually hope Rifftrax takes another crack at some of those earlier films.
