I'm wondering if someon can tell me what happened with Lydon's relatioship with the blind girl, please tell me casue I can't rent this sucker and the Canadian history channel hasn't shown the 3rd episode yet. Please tell me, i want the SPOILERS!

Towards the end of the series, Nydia ultimately realized that it was Lydon--not Glaucus--whom she really loved.
And after the volcano erupted, & she was on the boat with Glaucus & Ione, Nydia heard that Lydon went back to rescue his father, so she left the boat to go find him. While in search for him, she found Chloe dying on the street, clutching her baby(Petrus was killed earlier in the third part, helping Lydon protect the Christians from vigilante pagans), & Chloe gives Nydia her baby to save.
After Chloe dies, & Nydia takes the baby from her, she finds Lydon(his father died from breathing in poisonous fumes), & the 3 of them(Nydia, Lydon, & the baby)all make it back to Glaucus' boat.
After they all sell off, Olymphus(sp.)prays to God, & thanks Him for Saving his life & the lives of all the others on the boat, & then wisely tells everyone how much God Loves them & Will Not allow the evil Roman Empire to succeed in destroying good people, & that is how it ends.
I wish I hadn't read your response as I wondered what become of the baby as I watch it now on DVD and clearly had forgotten.
I wondered about Lydon's father as well, and didn't recall him running off after him.
I did remember when Glaucus professed his love for whatever woman it is he is pursuing, she then ran after Lydon. I thought, well, how convenient for you then. Spurned by one, just go to the other.
Or perhaps it says how poor LInda Purl's acting abilities are, but it just didn't seem to be conveyed to me almost thirty years ago that she truly loved Lydon. It was more Glaucus isn't there for me, so I will go to Lydon.

First off, Ione was the woman whom Glaucus fell in love with. Secondly, it took Nydia some time to accept Glaucus & Ione's love for each other, & open her heart to Lydon. Incidentally, in the original story by Edward Bulwar Lytton, Nydia didn't love anybody other than Glaucus, & in the end committed suicide. I prefer what Carmen Culver did with his work.
And as I said in my previous post, I think Linda Purl did very well with the character.
