What is the poet's name referring to book of poems given to the Nawab?

Hi! This is my first time here and I was really pleased to have found it and hope to come back again.

My husband and I have watched the series numerous times and always enjoyed it.

However, we would like to know the name of the famous poet who is mentioned in the series a number of times, especially around the time when the book of poems by .....? is given to the Nawab. We rewounded and replayed the dvd but still can't figure out what is the name of the poet mentioned. Gafar? Gaffar? Gafer? Kaffer? Kafar? I have tried typing in these names and doing a search of such a poet on the web but couldn't find anything with any of these spellings.

Can someone help ushere? We would greatly appreciate knowing once and for all.

Also, if you could e-mail me the information I would greatly appreciate it because I don't spend much time online browsing. Mainly e-mail.

Many thanks in advance and I hope to hear from you soon!

In the book, the poet is referred to as the "Urdu poet Gaffur." Everything I've read says that Gaffur is an invention of the author -- there is no classical poet of that name, just as the Nawab of Mirat is a fictional Nawab.
