I'm just a little confussed I saw the series on dvd and I never saw Daphne or Hari even kiss, did they autually have sex? And in the book, when daphne is talking about being lifted on the mosaic roughly who is she talking about? I'm not sure if she is describing a sexual liasion with him or with someone else?

The answer to your first question is yes. Daphne says in her letter to her aunt that she believes Parvati is Hari's child. The answer to questions two and three is the assault on Daphne (and Hari) by a group of men, which is shown later in a flashback. Olivia G.
