As of Tuesday 20 October, Hey Dad..! has been removed from Comedy Channel's weekday morning lineup, and replaced with double episodes of Malcolm in the Middle.

You may express your gratitude / disappointment / outright disgust to Foxtel at:

well that sucks majorly. Foxtel aren't doing anything much to air episodes 101-291. They should purchase these episodes and air them. Even if they only got episodes 101-127 and give us the rest of season 3 would be nice, but now it's off the air, the chances of ever seeing these episodes is basically nil, especially because no other DVD manufacturer's in Australia are looking anything like a releasing DVD boxsets or any more best of box sets. It's pathetic.

I agree. I don't know why Seven doesn't just run Hey Dad episodes in the 5pm timeslot currently occupied by MASH, since MASH has been aired to death a thousand times over already.

reply

Agreed. MASH is so boring. I've seen the series over and over and since there are so many complaints to stations about not having enough Australian content on any TV Channel, Seven would do well to repeat shows like Hey Dad..!, A Country Practice, Kingswood Country etc. And give the Australian people a more Australian range during the day. A Country Practice would rule over Murder she wrote to begin with. Hey Dad..! could take over from MASH and replace the Morning show with some good Aussie viewing. I reckon that'd be a great start.

reply

Perhaps Hey Dad is being moved to the new entertainment-based digital channel that Seven is starting soon.

Thanks for your email. Due to a programming decision Hey Dad has been taken out of the current schedule, unfortunately this change occured after the print deadline of the subscriber magazines and was not able to be captured in the print listings.

There are no plans to return Hey Dad at the present but your request has been forwarded to the Program Manager for consideration. We hope you will continue to enjoy THE COMEDY CHANNEL.

Best wishes,

THE COMEDY CHANNEL
