I love G1 TF as much as the next Gen-Xer, but having revisited the original Sunbow series recently I have to say it doesn't hold up nearly as well as G.I. Joe.

I prefer the first two seasons of The Transformers to G.I. Joe. I think Transformers: The Movie is much better than G.I. Joe: The Movie. However, the overall quality of The Transformers noticeably declined in its third and fourth seasons, whereas G.I. Joe didn't suffer as steep a decline in its second season.
In my opinion, out of all the 1980s animated series based on Hasbro toy lines, Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light was the best.
Thats cause transformers alienated all its fans by killing off half the autobots especially optimus prime. GI the movie came after the transformers mistake and the producers were able to rewrite GI joe in time. They were planning to kill off half the joes as well.
