Everyone seems to be jumping on the MCU model train. Not a bad idea in this case, as a G.I. Joe vs. Transformers (which has been done in the comics) could be a potentially profitable gimmick. And M.A.S.K. certainly seems like an organic fit w/the Joes. But Visionaries? ROM the Space Knight? These are properties that never caught in in their first try and haven't exactly become cult favorites, let alone popular with the mainstream.

I've long thought that a G.I. Joe/Jem and the Holograms crossover was a natural.

"Yo, Joe!"

"Showtime, Senergy!"

Sunbow's 1980s animated series based on Hasbro toy lines seemed to exist in the same universe. Sensationalistic reporter Hector Ramirez, a parody of Geraldo Rivera, appeared in episodes of G.I. Joe, The Transformers, Inhumanoids, and Jem. An aging Cobra Commander appeared in a Season 3 episode of The Transformers which also featured the synthoid technology that previously appeared in episodes of G.I. Joe.

The Oktober Guard, the Warsaw Pact counterpart to G.I. Joe, was referenced in an episode of The Transformers. There were hints that Marissa Faireborn, a character who appeared in the third season of The Transformers, was the daughter of Flint and Lady Jaye from G.I. Joe. Ace from G.I. Joe and Sabre Jet from Inhumanoids were both U.S. Air Force pilots named Brad J. Armbruster, although it was unclear if they were meant to be the same person, since they had different character designs and voice actors.

There have been several comic book crossovers between the Transformers and G.I. Joe. Having acquired Kenner and the rights to M.A.S.K. in 1991, Hasbro released a figure of M.A.S.K. leader Matt Trakker as part of its G.I. Joe line in 2008. The file card for the Trakker figure mentioned that M.A.S.K. was allied with G.I. Joe and V.E.N.O.M. was formed by COBRA.
