lookalikes

I recently Netlfixed this mini-series. It was fascinating to see Rupert Everet back in the day. The thing that surprised me most was how strikingly similar Felicity Dean looked to Gwyneth Paltrow. Had the movie not been made 20 years ago, I would have sworn it was her.

Wow, hadn't noticed that, but I think you're right. I think it would be very easy to get them confused...I think she did a good job of playing the spoiled little brat that Belinda ended up becoming after so much attention. And then, later in the book, she ended up with faded looks and a dowdy figure. Serves her right, I suppose, huh?

And Rupert Everet looks so great in this movie. He has aged magnificently.

I have owned the movie for a long time, but I just recently watched it again and I saw THE SAME similarities you are talking about! I am so happy you posted your message because I thought I may be "seeing" things... Even the way tehy talk is similar! They should be casted in a movie together now that the american lives in London!

reply

Yes! I was also noticing that! I could have sworn it was Paltrow, or at least someone in the same family! They aren't related are they?

reply

Glad I'm not the only one, the reason I checked this film out on here was to see if she was a direct relation as the resemblance is uncanny.

I would have bet the farm Felicity Dean was Gwyneth Paltrow; but the age of the miniseries prevented it from being so.

reply

same here. How odd that they could be twins but 30 years later. lol

I guess I'll have to be the lone voice of dissent. I watched the entire thing and never once thought of Gwyneth Paltrow. I read that suggestion here in this thread for the first time when I came to see other people's responses to the series. Maybe it's because I avoid watching anything with Gwyneth Paltrow in it so she is never on my mind.
