Why if these series are filmed in one place (this one in Billingshurst, or for example in the Good Life the house is actually in Northwood Hills, Middlesex, and not Surbiton) do they not set the series in these places and not elsewhere. Very irritating! In one hair salon episode you can clearly see that it says "Billingshurst Station" on the nearby board!

Originally it was slated to be called Kingston-on-Railway!
As for Billingshurst, it's a parish in the district of Horsham, so that's not a million miles away...

It was set in Surrey but it was filmed 10 miles South in Billingshurst.

Their house was the one with the purple/brown bushy thing in the middle of the garden at 35 seconds in.
Martin lived where there are two cars in the drive at 41 secs and Paul lived to the right of that.

Hi Steve.
The film location for Mole Valley Valves was the Administration Office Britax Safety Systems Ltd. Terminus Road Chichester. Alas it is no longer there neither is the Main factory. I worked at Britax during the 1980’s and remember watching some of the filming.
If you go to google map street view the main factory was situated where the Jewson outlet now stands and the Administration Office was on the other side of the road about where the new red brick building now stands.

WOW, jonathanbeales - that was wonderful to watch - thank you for sharing that youtube link - that's how I actually found EDC to watch and just love them! Sadly, shows like this no longer exist, but at least we have reruns, dvds, or youtubes!
