I'd love to see it on DVD, but even if it did come out I'm afraid that it would suffer the "altered music" curse. I remember at least two episodes that used real songs. One was Bryan Adams' "Run to You". The other was The Steve Miller Band's "Abracadabra". For a show like this that few likely remember, I can't see the studio forking over the extra dough to retain this music. The latter one I mentioned would be severely hurt by the ommision though, seeing as how it was a magic-themed episode involving one of the girls being a magician's assistant. The song played during a magic trick montage of some sort.

Steve Perry's "Foolish Heart" was played - a good long clip of it (and the more of a song that is played in a show, the more royalties have to be payed) in one episode where the conservative twin meets a great guy and considers moving to Paris with him (I THINK it was Paris).

Are you sure that it was actually the Bryan Adams rendition Run to You in the show? I'm remembering that it was a cover band/artist. Was it in season two, and the song was being played through a boom box (or 'ghetto blaster' ;-))? I recall there being another scene at a club when people were doing air band/lip synching, and the song they used in the show wasn't the original artist. Cover versions would have been easier on their budget. Anyhow, it was a long time ago, so my memory of it may be faulty.

the episode where "run to you" is being played on the boom box was the episode that has the mindy cohn(?) who played natalie on the facts of life. it was being performed by a cover band. it was also shown being performed by a band in a club as well i believe in the same episode as they go there to help 'mindy' fulfill her dream of being a stand up comedian. this was actually one of my favorite episodes.

Hey I remember the episode that you are talking about and you do have a point that they would more than likely ruin it if they released it out onto DVD box set. I remember watching this when I was 12 years old with my mom and sister who is a year younger than me.

This was a great show to watch and then I caught it in the late 80's to part of the 90's on USA Network when their programming was a heck of a lot better than what it is now. I would love to see this come out on DVD box set as well!
