I loved this series when it was on first time round, years later it was repeated on sky tv....i wish id taped it now...
As its not been repeated since, there is no old VHS release anywhere and obviously no dvd.
Now surely someone has these episodes recorded somewhere.....an official dvd release would be amazing....but if someone would copy their episodes...then an unofficial one would do nicely!!
Likewise......what a show.
Bring it out on DVD.

I have a few shows on vhs.
You can register at a site called "tvshowsondvd.com" and vote for the shows you want released on dvd. It says at that site that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have the rights to release it.
i agree, i have like 3 episodes from the first time they were on ITV in like 87, it needs a dvd release !!

shareI'd like to see it- I don't really remember it, but I've been told I always used to watch it when I was about 4 or 5. The only thing I really remember is that the opening sequence showed a car cashing into a FotoMat. HAHA

If it is owned by Sony, then don't hold your breath. They have a poor track record of releasing the older shows. I too wish it were on dvd.
shareI would also dearly love to see this great show get a DVD release. It's one of those great, fun shows we all loved in the 80's. They just don't make them like that anymore. The whole family could sit down and be entertained. John Rubenstein and Jack Warden had great chemistry together. I loved how Jack would always get John into trouble.

shareWhilst not the originals, you can get tv recordings of the show , approx 20 episodes from ioffer.com just do a search on the title of the show there.
The quality isnt excellent , but mines arrived quickly and I was glad to have them as they bring back great memories :)
