Childhood memories/ Favourite moments

I remembering watching this in my very earliest days of schooling. Where my mother would be at home with my sister who was still pre-school age. I would finish school at lunchtime and when we got home put the television on this or the Sullivans during the afternoon.
My clearest memory of this show is from the comic relief of Cookie (I think) and Esme. He was your stereotypical hard luck case who liked to bet. And she was the village gossip. Anyway, Esme was hearing voices and went to see the Doctor. It turned out that the layout of the fillings in her mouth were acting as a radio receiver. Cookie was with her and whilst there, both Cookie and the Doctor were listening to the horse racing via her open mouth!

One of the funniest things I remember from TV in my childhood. Though I doubt anyone else remembers this scene, it is stored in my mind along with those other cherished warm childhood memories.

I Don't remember that scene, does sound good though. My favourite episode was in Season 6 episodes Covering Up parts 1 & 2 (Coming out on DVD on April 7 in most stores). Cookie was bunging on how sick he really was and played on BOB's good nature and Bob left him in the middle of nowhere and because cookie made out he made a bell levetate, Cookie asked Bob How am i going to get home. And Bob Replied Levitate mate, levitate. Classic.

I enjoyed Peter Manning's hopeless pining for Doctor Alex Fraser.
