I didn't like how they punished Vanessa but not Rudy in this one episode

It's been a while since I saw the episode, but Theo did some trick with Rudy that caused her to get hurt. We later heard that when he and Vanessa was little, they tried playing a human cannon ball trick that caused Vanessa to also get hurt and her and Theo got punished for it. However, Rudy get's taken to the hospital, babied by Claire, and the staff even chipped in and bought her a hat. Yea that seems fair for Vanessa to get punished when she got hurt but Rudy gets rewarded when almost the same thing happened to her.

I don't know but it could've been due to the fact that Theo was younger and being closer to his age and size maybe Vanessa didn't get hurt as much.

Cliff and Clair were harder on both Theo and Vanessa than they were on Sondra, Denise, or Rudy.

Sometimes it's like that in a family. It's not right or fair, but parents will let some of their kids get away with anything and their other kids get punished if they breathe too loudly.

They were hard on Rudy at times too. Denise was so nutty that she deserved any bad treatment that she received from Claire and Cliff. Sondra got away with murder!

Coming from being the second oldest of five kids, the baby of the family gets away with murder and Rudy haven gotten away with a lot of things. Also, Vanessa was just an all around dumbass. Book smart, but a dumbass

I always thought it was because Theo was like 9 years older than Rudy. Having a 17 year old throw your 8 year old self into a wall is much more painful than having an 11 year old throw your 8 year old self into a wall. In fact, a 6 year old girl died in real life when her babysitter who was around his teenaged years did a wrestling move on her that he saw on TV. Think his name was Lionel Tate. He was sent to prison for her death, even though he was a Minor, because it was ruled that him being around his teenaged years, should have known that he shouldn't be imitating Wrestling moves he saw on TV on little children in real life. It wasn't as if he were 7 and she was 6.

It's so ironic that Ozzy Ozbourne, the Prince Of Darkness, is so damn adorable.

Yeah but still when Vanessa got hurt she still got punished for it, unlike Rudy.

Once again, I think it was the age difference. If there was a child younger than Vanessa, but older than Rudy, I think they both would have gotten into trouble. Like say, an 11 year old boy.

not only that, but Rudy even agreed to lie by saying she hit her head on a barbell and was caught. So you'd think she would get punished. Smdh.

It IS true that they were harder on Vanessa and Theo. Remember when Vanessa burrowed Denise's sweater without her permission and she started to hit her, but Vanessa got into more trouble?

That wasn't fair b/c later on, Cliff and Claire found out that Denise burrowed a few stuff from them (like his socks) without asking! Did she get in trouble?? NO!!!

Cliff saw that Denise had some of his things in her closet.
He saw Vanessa had his socks in her shoes. She claimed she got them from Sondra.
It was to show that no one respected his things and should have asked.
Denise and Vanessa later took things from Cliff's closest when they went out together to the Village.

They probably DID punish Rudy we just never saw it. Especially since she agreed to lie to Claire how she got hurt.
Claire don't play that. Lol
