13 Emmy wins and 35 nominations

Not a bad track record, including 3 wins for Willie Aames as Best Supporting Actor and 2 for Baio as Best Actor

Remember that episode "Pansy Pensées" when Willie Aames came out of the closet? That won him an Emmy for sure and got the first ever GLAAD image award.

Is this thread pulling our leg?

I don't recall any of this LOL

Charles in Charge routinely gets put on the Top 5 most beloved sitcoms of the 80's, beating out Growing Pains and ALF.

reply

okay, but where's your proof? My only recollection of CiC was its airing on TV BEFORE the prime time hours. I grew up in SoCal and CiC aired in the afternoons, usually before the evening news hours so I don't see how it compares to other sitcoms that had prime time slots

reply

See on the east coast we got it three hours BEFORE you did and so for us that was prime time so thats why we love it a lot more than folks on the west coast

True

I believe that too

reply

Hard to believe but it's all true!

reply

You're right. I had to look it up to verify it was on the level

It was Nicole that kept me watching as a kid.
