Like Dr. Who and Chronicles of Narnia so wonderfully mixed

Would make a delightful, albeit abridged, holiday adventure motion picture for the big screen, but I would want a British production company and director to helm it. If we are watching Narnia and Potter come to the screen, why not something just as delightful and mesmerizing such as a Box of Delight. Clive Owen or Colin Firth would make a good Adner Brown, someone who can be both vicious and beguiling in his sophistication and intelligence. Actually, there are about half a dozen English actors I could name of the top of my head who could manage the same type of villainy: Alan Rickman, Robert Lindsay, Jeremy Irons, Jonathan Pryce, Rufus Sewell (though he may be a bit younger, he is great at being cold characters), and one of the best British villain players of the past 30 years, Tim Curry. I could see a Michael Caine or Michael Gambon in the role of the Old Magician. Freddie Highmore (Charlie and the Chocalate Factory-Burton)is a fairly charismatic young actor, and good for the role of Kay Harker. I know, Hollywood seems to do more harm for adaptations than good at times, and is adapting or remaking everything these days. So, in the end, I would rather see it just left as it is than blemished at all.
