Looks like The Midnight Folk and The Box of Delights is getting remade by the BBC for broadcast around Christmas 2010.

Really? Interesting. If this is true I hope they don't try to gloss it up too much for the modern audience, it would lose half of it's charm that way.

Good god yes - the series was an anachronism when first shown back in 1984 and all the better for it!
Cant imagine it being "down wit da kidz" today?

Stuff like this still gets made but it needs to be relevant to the audience and have top notch special effects.
