When AirWolf originally aired in 1984 until 1986 I believe it was it was on CBS who owned the rights to the TV show. Well USA Network at that time was a excellent network that was independent and would air a variety of things that you no longer see on TV anymore now. I see El Rey Network has somewhat replaced USA Network to a certain degree. USA Network then picked up the show from what I can remember when I was in junior high. I remember they came back with the cast to make new episodes. I watched it with JMV and Ernest Borgenene. The minute that they had Dick Van Dykes son Barry Van Dyke step in to play Stringfellow Hawkes brother I lost interest in the show.

What you saw was season four which was a low-budget continuation of the show using stock flying footage of the helicopters from the first three seasons, with new actors and story lines.

While it is not as great as the first three seasons, it is interesting to see the unused footage from those seasons and also a lot of it is at normal speed rather than sped up as we often saw in those seasons.
