Following a rather heated discussion in the office the other day( not much work on !) we came to the conclusion that KITT would come out on top in a duel with Airwolf. Any replies to back this up or discredit it are welcomed. Thanks

I always thought it'd be cool to combine the shows, and put KITT inside the Airwolf helicopter. KITT could be interchangeable, being able to switch from car to chopper at the pilot/driver's choosing. I'd choose Hawke to headline the combination-show (since, as somebody else said, the Hoff is a baffoon.)

Are you kidding me right now? KITT may be impressive and all but there is nothing it can do if Airwolf unleashes its entire firepower, Hellfires and all combined. Best thing about KITT going to the scrap yard is the Hoff going down with it.

Including the driver/pilot that would depend on if Micro Jam worked and if KITT's MBS could stand up to shots from the ADF pod as I pretty sure the chaingun would have no effect on KITT. But even if KITT couldn't take a direct hit hawke might not be able to hit the target before running out of ammo anyway.
Of course the only offensive weapons KITT has is the flamethower and the laser and hitting airwolf probably wouldn't be easy KITT would need to draw airwolf into a cave or something.
If Mirco Jam didn't work and there wasn't a handy cave to draw airwolf into (or to entrence of) The best KITT could hope for is Airwolf running out of ammo before he gets hit too much
But as I said if it just the two machines Airwolf is a toaster and can do nothing without its pilot

OK, I am going to humor you here. Let's say you are right in all you stated. Now, have you considered that Airwolf does not need to be close to KITT to make paper clips out of it? There's a height limit to which KITT can jump if he attempts to crash into The Lady, so altitude is not on its side, neither is the jammer. The only way to trash KITT is to shower him with all the different types of missiles Airwolf carries. Dom could be flying the Lady, while Hawk can be fish-slapping the Hoff at the same time. 
shareYeah but airwolf needs a pilot in fact it needs two for all its functions to work properly as hawke cannot see some things from the front. Without a pilot Airwolf can't even take off, hell it can't do anything.
KITT doesn't have the offensive capibility to take down Airwolf but he has been shown to evade missiles plenty of times and can take getting hit indirectly maybe even directly it would need repeated direct hits.
It wouldn't be one shot and done to take KITT down. What I would like to see is KITT,s AI inside airwolf
