The Box Set Debate Once and For All...

All the versions of the complete series box set contain edited versions of episodes.

As far as I've seen, season one has a mix of edited and unedited episodes, the way you can tell the difference is the opening credits. Any of the first season episodes that open with the commentator introducing the team are the original UNCUT versions. All others that contain the theme song, terrible laugh track and clips from later seasons are the edited into the intro of the syndicated versions. These episodes also have the lame blue backround closing credits and 1991 copyright date despite the episodes having aired in 1984-85.

Seasons two and three are ALL edited/syndicated versions.

Seasons four thru six for the most part are unedited with the nudity and swearing intact, with the exception of few episodes here and there, including the final episode in season six for some odd reason.

It should also be noted that only ONE episode in the entire set contains the kickass opening theme "White Lines" and thats the final episode of season four.

I could not figure out the stupid laugh track!! Thanks for the explanation. What a crap thing to do to this series, edited and laugh tracked :(

Yeah, when it aired edited in syndication they added a laugh track.
