A Tip of the Cap to the Cast Who Has Left Us

Reid Shelton-- The Ernie character will forever epitomize what Coaches are and what Coaches SHOULD be.

John Mantuszak-- I think your brief run on the show/character may have done as much to open our eyes towards the steroid use in football than anyone.

Prince Hughes-- Bubba Kincaid.. The character we all couldn't help but root for. The laughs you brought to the show will never be forgotten.

You three gentlemen each left your own lasting impact on the show. Without you three on it, perhaps it doesn't have the success it does.

Thank you all. If there's an Internet in Heaven, be glad to know that your show is a success.

Yep, sad that they are gone. Who do you think had the most success after leaving the show, besides OJ Simpson, because who can top getting away with murder.

My name is Eric and I am not a fan of American football,
but I have always liked "1st & Ten"- I am really a fanatic.
Jep244- Thank you for saying the kind words. I was just clicking
around the imdb minutes ago when I found out that Prince Hughes
("Bubba") had died. That is really sad. When I watch "1st & Ten",
I sometimes think (thought) it would be great to meet him and say
thanks for making the show so funny. (Bubba AND Jethro). He was a
good singer, and was great with facial expressions. He was the guy
that EVERYONE liked.

Reid Shelton was a perfect fit for bad writing, directing, editing, etc. He wasn't good in that series.

It's a shame about Keith Amos. He died in 1998. He was only 36 years old.

What happend to the theme song of First and Ten " The white lines " on the dvd release ? Have they been edited out ? When I was younger I watched 1st and 10 all the time but I swear I don't remember the show haveing a live studio audience in the background, can anyone tell me why there is one on the dvd ?
