We want this on DVD!

How comes such a gem is not available on DVD? The screenplay is brilliant, the dialogues great and Adjani is equally talented and beautiful.

Last week I bought a region 2 version of this movie released by NOUVEAUX (Cat. No.: NPD1019). While it is a good film and is worth owning on DVD, the particular print used for this DVD seems quite poor quality to me, and with unremoveable English subtitles too. Still, it's better than nothing I suppose.

Looks as if it WAS available in region 1 at one time or it could be a clerical error.

It's available from Nouveau (http://www.moviemail-online.co.uk/nouveaux/) for about $20 (US), including airmail shipping from Great Britain. Caution: it (and probably all Nouveau DVDs) is a Region 2 DVD and may not play on your DVD player.

I watched a copy from Netflix last night. Isabelle Adjani was mesmerising! The filmmakers relied too much on narration, and the subtitles could've been better executed, but overall it was wonderful, campy fun.
