red

I just watched this on Hulu Plus, and it seemed to me, whenever any character was wearing red (usually a red sweater), that meant Suzanne was going to get beat.

Did anyone else notice this?

If this is pointed out on a Criterion commentary or extra, my apologies.

Interesting...I did not notice.

If you're not taking any steps forward, you're not moving at all.

And what about when Suzanne was wearing red? There were a couple of scenes where more than one character was wearing red also.

A bird sings and the mountain's silence deepens.

Ha, I was just recalled to this thread because of this reply! I don't remember "À nos amours" anymore (it's been a few years); I should revisit it, to see if what I thought I had observed years ago actually happened or not!

Really? I was under the impression that if Suzanne walked into a room and there was so much as someone else in that room then there was a pretty good chance she was going to get a seeing to. (Small wonder she made it through two parties and a bus ride, to the finish line!)
