shareThe funny thing is that Bowie personally couldn't have paid for any of those limos. Though he was the hottest property in british music at the time and living like a star because that was part of the program, he was basically hanging by MainMan's purse strings and often living from day to day on their credit (of course they generally obliged, but it emant the whole thing ws unsafe and that he could have trouble paying for really small things, like, giving a dinner party in private or deciding to go fishing just over the week-end)

Almost a 5 yr old post I know but if you're still around, was Bowie known to go on weekend fishing trips ??? Guess I could google it ... just never thought of him as an angler who took weekend breaks from being an androgynous space man/alien from Mars.... Who knew ?
