Runs like a girl ...

Did anyone notice that Ashnell/Yentl runs like a girl?

It's not a criticism, just an observation! It must have been the discomfort of wearing pants, or just trying to keep up with the boys or whatever, but I found it really quite amusing! You would have thought that one of the characters may have commented or something (another aspect of her *femininity* or whatever showing through), but I suppose, as Yentl says, people don't really look or see what they don't want to.

Also...and I know this is kind of an obvious answer...but, well, she is a girl.

He said it's all in your head, and I said, so's everything--
But he didnt get it.

Hilary Swank is also a girl, but looked and acted much more masculine than Barbra in Boys Don't Cry.

A woman disguised as a young man, in turn of the century Poland ? unthinkable !
So nobody thought of it and didn't see it.
