HOW DID THIS GET PAST THE CENSORS????

Does anyone know how this movie got pst the sensors? There is much upper body nidity in this movie yet its only a PG??? how did this happen...

probably because it's nidity and not nudity.

nudity would have most certainly warrented an R-rating.
but nidity is always ok.

Because the ratings system has changed since the movie was released.

Back in the good old days you only had G, PG, and R ratings. PG movies could have mild language and some nudity. Then, they broke the PG rating into the PG and PG-13 ratings we have today.

IN today's world, its more likely to be censored for all the rape jokes.

Exactly. This would never fly today.

Films could get away with exposed breasts as long as they did not call too much attention to them, I guess. I remember a lot of topless serving girls in the GP-rated JULIUS CAESAR from 1970 (not to mention a G-string-clad Charlton Heston).

Heck, the producers of WALKABOUT successfully argued a GP rating for their flick despite the extensive full frontal nudity by their adolescent cast.
