Sound

I have just watched TYOLD on TCM, this film is crying out for digital remastering. As is becoming more and more common these days the music track is deafening but the dialogue is almost inaudible.

Film studios must know that their films will be shown on TV and will be purchased in DVD format by the public, so why can't they record the sound for home viewing as well as auditorium viewing?

Yes, watched it last night and had to continually adjust the sound. UGH!

It takes me an extra 30 minutes or so to watch it because of having to push the 15 sec back button to read the sub-titles.
