Until the movie progressed I was really feeling disappointed. Then the movie kicked off. Yet the thing that always stuck in my head(besides those dirty looking weapons the mongols had) was the fact that when a Wang family member dies they turn into penetrated statues.

The Chinese legend is that anyone who is noble, strong and fearless (this included both Heroes and Villains) will always die on their feet and remain standing like glorious statues. In this case, the Yang family were all heroes.
