That is what he says at the end. I am guessing he means he cannot go home because he has committed himself to the monk's life, yet cannot go to the monastery either, as they still do not want him. Any other thoughts about the ending of this excellent movie?

he did and seen so much as a warrior, going home would remind him of that. he could not go back to the temple, because he broken his oath. so either way has no where to go.
