Thoughts based on watching this movie after reading the news

So with this worldwide recession going on, which may very likely lead to a depression, how many people do you think will be driven to a life of squatting and living off of stolen goods? Will it come to the point where those still fortunate enough to be able to pay for their houses or apartments have to bar their doors and windows to prevent their possessions from being stolen by those less fortunate?
What do you think?

Could be. That wasn't what was going on in this movie though. We pulled runners all through the late seventies and early eighties, kyping stuff from stores and garages. We did it because we were suburban punks doing what we felt like. The economy didn't have so much to do with it as the fact that in 1982 very few people would hire punks unless you hid that you were a punk.
