tripping the dogs

i loved this movie back in the mid eighties when we all first saw it-i just saw it uncut on the turner network thingy-very cool-one thing though...what was the deal with the dogs wreaking themselves on tripwires in the beginning?who are the people who said..." oh, you want my dog to run at full speed and you are going to put wires in the lawn and make them tumble violently....sure sounds great" - i still love this movie though - skinner ruled

Hey man. I just moved into a tiny little room in San Diego. We don't get any premium channels. I was just flipping around the tv last night and stumbled upon this movie during the scene where they show the close ups of the naked girls on the fridge. I was pretty surprised to see that on basic cable so watched the rest of the scene and was hooked on the movie.

Anyway I came here to post the same question you did! We were probably thinking the same thing at the same time. I was curious as to how they shot the dog scene and how they can even play that on TV? Seems to me that at the time (1984) there would be no other way than to do exactly what you said. Have a dog run full speed at a trip line.

I also came to get resolution if that was actually Flea in the movie. Seems I was right.

The dog-tripping scene was supposed to be the two redneck idiots shooting at the stray dogs for fun. That's the best special effects they could afford on the $8000 budget for this movie. :)
