I want to be a cowboy

I haven't seen this great film in years. Yeah it's disjointed, yeah some of the actings iffy to say the least, but there is some fantastic dialogue, and it's very non-Hollywood. The characters as well as the film itself are flawed, there's no answers, and no pat ending. Skinner gets most of the best lines and although he's no actor, he seems pretty real. I love when he's ranting that he hammers in nails everywhere, and he still can't find his *beep* shirt! He reminds me of people I knew back then.
But my question is simple: There's a song playing when they're drinking around the campfire(I think). "I want to be a cowboy"
Who is it? The Gun Club maybe?
Oh, and what is "chickensbud"??
