Loved it!

So deliciously campy! Delightfully bitchy...Glorious costumes...Faye Dunaway is quite stunning and her wigs were beautiful...Pity there wasn't more male nudity - Certainly, there were lots of topless women.

It's not out on DVD in Canada but I was fortunate to obtain a copy from 'across the pond' for only five pounds!

I too loved the movie. Finally got to see it. Lots of fun and very entertaining!
I can not understand the low rating it got here. It's not a bad film.
Maybe it's because it's about a woman instead of a man...

Pleasantly surprised, when first viewed in 1983. Only went, because it was rated R18 where I was living and was intrigued. Thought it could have gotten by with an R16; but the higher age restriction, was likely due to the prevalent undercurrent of sexuality throughout the film and also the mix of sexuality with violence, in one scene near the end.

It was well shot and produced, slightly campy and amusingly acted by Dunaway, who looks like she had fun making the film. Never dull and always entertaining, with the masculine and charismatic presence of Alan Bates, which complimented Dunaway's devious, headstrong and wicked character.
