Similar girls?
Don't you think that the main female character of the movie - Christine is much look alike Sharon Stone in Verhoeven's "Basic Instinct"?
This thought had been often on my mind, when I watched this movie.
Yeah, agreed- though I don't think the two actresses physically resemble one another too much, but they are both "Hitchcock blonde" types, no doubt deliberate on Verhoeven's part. He had Sharon Stone wear costumes identical to the ones Kim Novak wore in Vertigo, for example.
Charm: "The power or quality of pleasing or delighting"
Both females are just Paul Verhoeven's favourite type of characters and women! Hitchcockian aloof blonds, femme fatale.
I don't intend to be offensive, but I have to defend my opinions.
