I am watching it right now.
The 80's are different! THAT'S for sure. My time was the early 2000's. So this movie is just bizarre to me.
Was this what the 80's was like?
Was this movie popular at the time?

I graduated HS in 1983....this and Fast Times were what life was like back then.

I have to agree (with Fast Times leaning toward the 'more realistic' side.)

Another movie w an authentic early-80s feel was All the Right Moves. But in the San Fernando Valley, Valley Girl is fairly authentic.
