Anyone else think Kuruku is terrifying as hell?

It's been almost 20 years and I hate marionettes to this day. If it weren't for Sesame Street I might be terrified of puppets altogether. Can't believe I watched this as a little kid.

I definitely think that Kuruku is a highly memorable villain. For so many years I remembered this and watching as a child before finally figuring out what was called on the Internet and getting the VHS of it. I think that he is a lot creepier than most horror villains that I have seen in horror movies and I watched a real lot of horror movies. There's just something really creepy about a marionette becoming a source of pure evil like that. But even just his appearance looks very demonic and completely devoid of humanity. I think that's what it is.

He also reminds me a bit of the gray aliens if you are into ufology and I think that's what makes creepy as well, those evil looking eyes of the fact he just looks completely and totally utterly insane and you could tell he delights in pure psychosis. He really is a pretty remarkable character for a children's film if you really think about it and that's probably why so many people remember him all these years later.
