They would have never even made it to back to 'nam

Since the FBI or whoever was already watching them... when they did the dress rehearsal on the mockup outside of Galveston, every last one of them would have gone to jail for a good bit of time.

Explosives, class 3 firearms, and depending on Sailors past, maybe a felon in possesion of a firearm.... the list goes on. BATF would have had a good time with them.
