With all due respect, this was not a violence-free film. Granted, most of it was intended but not actually committed. Nonetheless, Travolta does get shot near the end, and Olivia's character is held at gun-point more than once. Also, the both of them nearly have sex on the couch during a scene. They may not have been totally naked, but it was a very lusty scene anyway. Not that I object to any of this. I'm just saying that mild as the movie may seem, I still don't think it qualifies as "clean".
The movie is not bad for what it is though. So, if more people don't like it, it's probably because it's an odd mix of action, romance, and fantasy. You would have to love the leads or love movies in general to like this one, I think.
Ironically, I do think it is like the films made today---car-chases, action, etc. So, I don't think it being old-fashioned has anything to do with it. But, today, such a film would be on THE DISNEY CHANNEL rather than in cinemas, I think.
Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
