John Travolta's looks

I have to admit up front that I am one of John Travolta's most devoted fans of all time. Through his ups and downs, I have always liked him a lot. Basically, I have liked him in almost everything he has been in. (With a couple exceptions). I saw "Two of a Kind " back in 1983 at the theater. Now, I really love the movie "Grease" and part of my admiration for it has to do with the excellent pairing of John and Olivia. They made a great and cute couple. When looking at "Two of a Kind" today, I have to admit this movie is pretty bad. "Grease" is so much better. Still, John and Olivia make a believable pair. They certainly have genuine chemistry in both films. I have to say that John is really gorgeous in "Two of a Kind." Anybody else agree? I always thought he was good looking anyway but I think he was at his good looking prime in this one. (Especially his eyes)! I fell in love with him as a child in "Grease" and I thought he was handsome in that, but he takes top prize in looks in "Two of a Kind"! (I understand that I am very biased).

I have to check out this movie. what would you rate it on a scale of 1-10?

reply

I would only rate it a 4 out of 10. It's not a very good movie at all. I'd pretty much only recommend it to Olivia and Travolta fans. I think people would tend to like them much more than the movie itself.

TOAK is certainly not Oscar material, but it is a lot of fun. Great music too!

1983 may have been a bad year for his movies, but it was a great year for JT's body!!

I would've been all over that muscle-toned waxed chest in a heartbeat, and we would've made sweet love nightly 'til the release of Perfect the following year.

(Of course I'd have to be the same age I am now and not the 12-year-old Bird I was at the time. )

I actually liked the movie, just like you, because of the pairing of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. They look so good together :)It's not the biggest hit, but I still think it's good. Just watched it this morning and when he takes his clothes of, who wouldn't have wanted to be Olivia then ;) He looked SO HOOOOOTTTT!

I LOVE THE MOVIE
I'll admit without Them two together it may have been even worse
They work really well together

Because I'm a corny person, and I LOVED Grease, I did enjoy this movie, it was cute. It had a great supporting cast and I loved the music. Oh AND John Travolta WAS sooo hot in this movie, just like he was in Staying Alive. I have to agree with another poster, the 80's weren't the best year for John Travolta's movies, but it was a great year for his body and his handsome looks.

It's on FX again right now.....

I'll agree on 3 things:

LOVE the soundtrack, John's look and John and Olivia's chemistry :)))

Only got one star (from my cable review, remember it didn't do well in the theatres) BUT agree that if you're a John and Olivia fan it's just a cute, corny movie!

AGREED coz thats the reason they chose John as lead in Grease it was gonna be Jeff Conaway and then they changed it to John coz the Chemistry between them was incredible and they wanted them to make another movie together

Got to agree, John looked amazing in this movie. Of all the times I've seen him, he was in his prime here. Have you ever watched the music video for Olivia Newton-John's 'Twist of Fate'? John shows up at the very end, and...swoon. Never been a die-hard fan based on his looks, but that video could convert anyone.

Travolta is dreamy in this. So is Olivia.

Well, It was on HBO this morning. Unfortunately I have to say that his appearance TO ME, anyway, just confirms all the rumors about him.

What rumors?
