Ophelia may have been a prostitute, but she wasn't a whore. Penelope on the other hand...she turned out to be a pretty whore-a-ble person, if you know what I mean. :)

Lol. But I understand what you mean. Ophelia was from a pretty crappy background and was just doing what she had to survive. She saved every penny so she could quit.

I always got the impression that Penelope and Todd always had something going on, but she chose Louis cause he was the better "catch." As soon as that went out the window, she just went right back to Todd.

I have no idea where you're pulling this out from. In the only scene where she was almost naked (near the beginning of the movie - panties and bra), there was no bush visible. Not even close.
