This movie proves that Carlin was right!
On one of George Carlin's he talks about the boundaries in comedy. His belief was that anything can be funny if given the proper context. This movie proves it.
No reasonable person could argue the point that what the Nazi's did in 1930's Germany wasn't atrocious. Mel Brooks found a way to tell a story, as fictional as it may be, about some of those atrocities and managed to make it funny.
This movie reminded me why Mel Brooks is one of my favorite creative minds in Hollywood. I wish he would write a few more movies before his time is up.
