This is such a clever record, possibly the best novelty rap record ever made - lyrically. Why was this not included in the film? - even if they had put it in over the end credits.
shareHey koolstup - I saw the movie in the theatre back in 1984 and as I recall, this video was shown during or immediately following the closing credits. Can't remember which, although it seems most logical it would have run with the credits (instead of the view of the audience and stage featured on the DVD).
Sorry I don't have a clearer recollection of where it was inserted ... but it WAS inserted and it sounded damn hot in the cinema back in the day (no memory problems there)!
Take care,
Bill
Thanks for the info Bill, I've only ever seen this film on DVD, and was disapointed when this song didn't turned up at the end credits.
shareis this scene included in the original version of the movie or is it just an additional "gimmick"?

It's not a scene, it's a music video to help promote the film.

Yeah but this is really crappy 3rd generation VHS. BADLY NEEDS a POINTER TO SOMETHING CLEANER, MUCH CLEANER. THIS PECE ROCKS!
shareIt surprised me that Mel Brooks can rap.....let alone be actually pretty good

Much better picture quality. Times have changed. Brooks wouldn't have been able make that music video today. Catchy song though!
