Time travel movies (lots of spoilers)

Are hard to get right, any time Travel story is difficult.
Mike Nesmith is not known as a Sci Fi writer, yet this story is original, compelling, and
has just the right twist with the time loop (the medallion).
Lyle never realizes he has traveled in time until the doc in the helicopter mentions it. That look (Lyle's reaction) was perfect.
Up to then he thought he was just lost in a primitive area with some kind of cultish bunch.
The medallion could have originated from the wrecked bike, if in one loop, she did not actually take it from him, but salvaged a piece of engine or sheet metal.
Since the story does not actually confirm that Lyle impregnated her, it is entirely possible that she took up with the Padre, as a way to get to LA, and bore him kids, who descended and took the name in an Americanized version of Cigne (Swan), or was pregnant from Reese or the brothers raping her in the cabin, until rescued nearly at dawn.
It's a merely possible twist that Lyle is his own Great grandfather, More likely he isn't. In fact, since he is considered an
"Outlaw" rider (unsponsored), his entire attitude could be implied to have originated from Reese and Claire (both independent, leaders, and self-driven, self-sufficient).
Well, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
