Forget the bike, how about that helmet?

The helmet was the most high tech piece of equipment Lyle was carrying.

Not only was it hooked up to the bike with a HUD for RPM, MPH and the rest, not only did it have a built in radio headset, it has the ability to zoom what he's looking at, track distance to the target he's viewing, and it has nightvision. I doubt we have anything that good now in 2014. We are only just getting there with flat screens and micro cameras. He never even had to recharge it.

Yeah I remember being impressed with that helmet as a kid back in the 80s more then the bike. A bike is a bike is a bike.

But that helmet was futuristic yet wholly still plausible for the 80s, but it still holds up as really cool even over 30 years later. In the 80s, I thought that helmet was a concept helmet that was going to be on the market by the late 80s or 90s, obviously no such luck. That helmet had Bluetooth and an app that sounded like Siri in the 80s!
