When addressing her collection of Spurs figures on her dressing table at the season's start, Danny asks her team to win the double of league and FA Cup, stating it has never been done before.

She seems unaware of the doubles in 1888-89 by Preston North End and 1896-97 by Aston Villa.

Julie Welch also repeated this canard on an edition of Terry Wogan's chat show.

Whilst Ms Welch may claim the two Victorian era double winning teams dont count, it should be noted there were fifty four league seasons between Villa and Spurs winning the double. This compares to forty-seven since Spurs achievement.

I think people confuse the first double in the 20th century with the first double ever and unaware hat PNE did it first.

Its that man again!!
