Good unknown movies...


I can't remember where I saw the list, but I got this because it was on some "Best Movies You've Never Seen" list on the internet. I have to agree.

Watching this, I had flashbacks of the mid-80s when I'd have many a nitemare about nuclear war. It's saw to think we're still a scared group of people, but for other reasons, today.

The thing I liked best about the movie is that it's very realistic and it portrays an area of nuclear holocaust that you didn't usually consider: A non-strategic location with minimal fallout. Good job, I highly recommend.

Some other excellent but obscure movies of hte 80s are Chan Is Missing, Quadrophenia and Chilly Scenes of Winter (also known as Head Over Heels).

Ummm, some others, those were the two that immediately came to mind and are not out on DVD as of this post date.

I first saw this on public TV years ago! I think it was a very powerful movie! I like it better then The Day After. Testament more emotional but both movie do well in there expression of nuclear fallout! Testament is depressing for me, but worth seeing!
