My Favourite Film as a Kid...

I remember sitting in front of our console TV with my family watching this film when it premiered back in the early 80's and it left a lasting impression. I wanted to immediately go to Eatons (when it was still open at the time) and buy a pair of runners because I was so inspired. Even now that I'm in my early 30's this memoir still strikes a cord. As well I wish CTV or Hollywood distributors would finally release this on DVD. I already have a framed poster from the film and at least three related books but I'd really like the to see the film finally arrive to DVD.
